Basic Breathing Exercises

[1] Sit in any posture you like. (Figure 42)
[2] Lock your hands and put the locked hands on your abdomen. (Refer to the illustration)
[3] Exhale your breath, compressing the abdomen loosely with your hands.
[4] Once you have finished the exhalation, inhale slowly as continuation for the same movement.
[5] Repeat the inhalation and exhalation of items (3)and (4).

< Attention >
(1) As for the inhalation and exhalation, do as slowly as possible, but without overextending yourself.
(2) Straighten up the spine, and make sure that you are not bending your back.
